Abstract
On a gray whale taken off Barrow, Alaska, Cyamus kessleri was the most numerous whale louse. C. scammoni, known only from the gray whale, and C. ceti, normal to the bowhead whale, were present in small numbers. C. kessleri is re-described; its normal host is probably the gray whale and not "Balaena" as conjectured by earlier workers. The barnacle, Cryptolepas rhachianecti, was present.
