Abstract
Three seasons’ excavation in Eastern Lesotho have produced a prehistoric sequence from a number of stratified sites that extends back in time at least 43,000 years. Data relating to precipitation increase and temperature decrease were obtained. The effect of climatic change, particularly increased snowfall, on the distribution of sites, is discussed. Keywords
