Abstract
The I balance of 2 patients with non-toxic nodular goiter remained negative on a low I intake. In one there was an increased tendency to storage over normal. The blood I was low normal. The iodine balance of 2 other patients with toxic nodular goiter was increased negative, 3-4 times over normal. The blood I was increased, while the principal I loss was in the urine. A fundamental difference might exist in I excretion between toxic nodular and exophthalmic goiter. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
