Abstract
Based on a review of studies that employed either psychological assessment or experimental techniques in combination with content analysis of verbal material, this paper presents a conceptualization of alexithymia in terms of situation-specific coping behavior rather than a stable personality trait of psychosomatic patients.This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
