Abstract
In connection with the development of the thermal-conductivity probe the author has used a new boundary condition of Jaeger to find an expression for an upper limit to the axial-flow error in these devices. Unlike in previous attempts at this problem the short-circuiting effect of the probe material is taken into account. Keywords
