Abstract
It has been shown that delayed hypersensitivity can be transferred both in vivo and in vitro by a cell-free substance elaborated by immune lymphocytes. This demonstration opens up the possibility that disease states associated with derangements in cellular immunity—perhaps including cancer—might be treated without the necessity of bypassing or surmounting the host defense mechanisms against whole cells. Keywords
