Abstract
The standard error of 4.7 hr does not increase with time, and, thus the method seems to be most useful after the first 24 hr after death. The fact that variations in environmental temperature have little or no role in the increase of K is the basis for it having a priority position in such cases. The method of analyzing vitreous K is far from completely solving the problem of the time of death; on the other hand, the simplicity of the technic and the inherent advantages of the vitreous humor as a fluid medium warrant further studies of substances of potential forensic significance. Keywords
