Abstract
A simple technique for precisely controlling the amplitude of oscillators is described. The control parameter is a voltage and the relationship between this voltage and the amplitude of oscillation is linear. Two applications of the scheme, namely, in amplitude stabilization of oscillators and in generation of stabilized amplitude modulated signals, are discussed. Experimental results agree closely with the expected performances. The scheme is versatile and suitable for mass production. Keywords
