Crosspolar performance of annular-ring microstrip antenna with novel mode suppression

Abstract

The crosspolarisation of annular-ring microstrip patches resonating in the TM₁₂ mode is discussed. It is shown that circumferential slots within the rings can suppress other modes and improve the radiated crosspolarisation levels.
