Sideroblastic Anemia Associated with Cytogenetic Aberrations of Bone Marrow Cells

Abstract
A patient with acquired sideroblastic anemia of the secondary type associated with apparent pyoderma gangrenosum is presented because of the presence and persistence of an aneuploid bone marrow cell line exhibiting two additional chromosomes which morphologically conform to group C and group D. The relationship between sideroblastic anemia, myeloproliferative syndrome, and genetic injury is discussed.
