Abstract
An optical-model analysis of the elastic scattering of 20-MeV tritons from 17 nuclides, from to , is presented. Average-parameter geometry sets as well as best-fit parameters are given. Two basic parameter families are considered, these being based on real-well radius parameters of 1.25 and 1.16 F, respectively. Average-geometry fits to all of the data indicate that the real-well depth is almost constant for all nuclides, whereas the imaginary depth shows a strong dependence on .
