Teenage fathers: neglected too long

Abstract
Although adolescent pregnancy is now recognized as a social problem of growing proportions, consideration of the teenage father is virtually absent from the literature as well as from the planning and implementation of social programs. A comprehensive review of the literature on teenage fathers is presented in this article, along with recommendations on how services to unwed adolescent parents of both sexes can be improved.
