Abstract
Calculation methods for conductor tensions and displacements of strain bus under short-circuit conditions are compared with the results of full scale high current tests. The good agreement between theory and experiment has allowed use of these methods in designing new 100 kA substations and in uprating existing substations from 40 kA to 70 kA.Keywords
