Abstract
The binocular PR was found to be greater than the monocular PR under all conditions, and it was argued that this result was not an artifact of the conditions of observation. Evidence was advanced for the hypothesis that stimulation of two eyes is functionally equivalent to doubling the area of stimulation in a single eye under the conditions of the present expt. On the assumption of the peripheral origin of the associative effect the expected reduction of intertrial associative effect was not found, and it was concluded that the effect is nonperipheral in origin. Keywords
