Abstract
In 4 of 5 catatonic schizophrenics the photo-Metrazol threshold fell as they emerged from stupor. This is interpreted as increased excitability of a presumed diencephalic, homeostatic mechanism. It can be either spontaneous or caused by convulsion therapy. Keywords
