Hyperkeratosis Lenticularis Perstans (Flegel) or Dyskeratotic Psoriasiform Dermatosis

Abstract
The clinical picture of punctate keratotic lesions on the palms and soles combined with keratotic papules and small psoriasiform plaques elsewhere is a rare but distinctive one. The possible division into a group with involvement of extremities only seen in elderly males (hyperkeratosis lenticularis perstans) and a group with generalized involvement and occurring in both sexes (dyskeratotic psoriasiform dermatosis) is discussed. There may be significant histological differences in the two groups. Clarification will only be possible with the reporting of further such cases.
