Pollution effects monitoring with foraminifera as indices in the Thana Creek, Bombay area

Abstract
The effect of pollution on the foraminiferids was intense, highly reliable and measurable. The relative sensitivity of tolerance of the biota was sharply variable and depended on the nature of the pollutants discharged. The degree of pollution could be monitored through delineation of zones affected by pollution.
