Abstract
The theory of two-dimensional collocation has been employed to simulate a model describing chronoamperometric experiments under conditions where edge diffusion has to be taken into account. The influence of the dimensionless parameters, β and β′, the initial integration stepwidth, [Formula: see text], the number of collocation points, N, and the kind of polynomial used to approximate the real solution are investigated and discussed. An additional transformation of the radial coordinate is introduced. The numerical values for a large number of simulations with different sets of the above parameters are compared to reference values. Keywords
