Abstract
A 20-gauge needle is used as introducer of a (No. 28) wire electrode into the anterior horn (usually; occasionally, the posterior horn) of the lateral ventricles; A Grass amplifier records tracings obtained in this study from 3 patients and several monkeys. The authors believe that by application of this method to man, it may be possible to lateralize deep subcortical lesions and to demonstrate the sub-cortical origin of various abnormal waves. Keywords
