Abstract
A criterion for the existence of bulk superconductivity in granular metals has been derived by Abels by considering the condition for the quenching of Josephson coupling between just two grains. We show here, when the coupled modes of oscillating Josephson currents between many grains are taken into account, that this criterion is too stringent. Keywords
