Therapy of Acute Leukemia by Whole-Body Irradiation and Bone Marrow Transplantation from an Identical Normal Twin

Abstract
A temporary remission in an 18-month-old child with acute lymphoblastic leukemia followed the use of blood transfusions, corticoid therapy, body exposure to X-ray therapy, (380 r skin, 255 r tissue) and 31 intravenous injections of bone marrow (totals 40.3 cc) from an identical twin. There was a clinical and hematological improvement followed by a complete relapse in 8 weeks.
