Abstract
We have incorporated an algorithm for rotation invariance, based on circular-harmonic expansion, into a pattern recognition system that uses incoherent light. Simulations and experimental results reveal that the algorithm can provide adequate peak-to-background ratios regardless of the input rotation. Keywords
