Experimental Chemotherapy of Nickel-Induced Fibrosarcomas

Abstract
The fibrosarcomas induced in Fischer-344 rats by nickel powder were transplanted to new host rats of the same strain. After the growth pattern was established the tumors were treated with a number of diverse chemotherapeutic agents. These included: 6-mercaptopurine (NSC-755), Af-methylformamide (NSC-3051), Cytoxan (NSC-26271) and glyoxal (bisguanyl) hydrazone (NSC-32946). Only N-methylformamide exhibited some activity of an antitumor nature.
