Abstract
The drift velocity, the longitudinal diffusion coefficient and the lateral diffusion coefficient of electrons in a Townsend discharge in hydrogen have been studied by measurements of the photon flux from such a discharge remote from any metal boundaries. Preliminary results are reported which indicate a discrepancy between the present results and previous determinations which used conventional techniques. Keywords
