Abstract
This paper describes an innovative educational model which utilizes local public schools and the Colleges of Medicine and Education at the University of Rochester. Graduate students majoring in learning disabilities, pediatric residents, and medical students, are united in conjunction with the professionals in the public schools, thus forming an interdisciplinary team in each school. The teams offer service and consultation to children, parents, and classroom teachers in a manner not usually provided. A distinct advantage of the school health team is that it offers professional education, stimulation, growth and development for all participating members. Keywords
