Abstract
A nuclear magnetic resonance study of O17 resonance in paramagnetic MnO and CoO is reported. The internal fields at the oxygen nuclei were measured. Interpretation of the measured fields showed that the spin densities in the oxygen 2s orbitals were 0.76% for MnO and 0.66% for CoO. Nuclear relaxation times have also been measured and compared with Moriya's theory. Keywords
