Abstract
In semiconductor superlattices lacking the reflection symmetry, transient internal polarization fields have previously been reported. We show that a modified structure can generate a steady‐state photovoltage. We then propose a new class of photovoltaic transistors in which this voltage directly controls the conductivity of the transistor channel. Keywords
