Abstract
Alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase,beta-glucuronidase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), succinic de-hydrogenase (SDH), cytochrome oxidase, glucose-6- phosphatase and 5′-nucleotidase activities assayed in baby (2–10 day), 6, 18 and 30-month-old male and female mouse kidney homogenates exhibited a complex pattern of change. Alkaline phosphatase, G6PDH, glucose-6-phosphatase and 5′-nucleotidase activities varied with age but sex was a very important modifying factor. Simultaneous light and electron microscope histochemistry showed no change in enzyme localization with age. Keywords
