Abstract
A general scheme is described for self correcting the various coherent phase errors that arise in multi-pulse sequences used for artificial narrowing of the absorption line in solids. The scheme is found to work well experimentally and greatly facilitates the phase alignment procedure by reducing the sensitivity of the multi-pulse response to phase control settings and drifts. First order dipolar terms reintroduced into the average Hainiltonian by the phase errors are also discussed. Keywords
