Abstract
Some facts are presented that have a bearing on the relationships between the principal inorganic and some organic constituents of plant leaves. Mineral deficiencies, dilution of the soil solution and genetical variation in the plant all affect the levels of calcium and potassium, iron and phosphate, thus disturbing the Krebs tricarboxylic acid synthesis cycle, and causing marked changes in the content of citric, malic and oxalic acids.Keywords
