A MICRO METHOD FOR THE ESTIMATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL GLYCOSIDES IN DIGITALIS LEAVES AND PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATIONS

Abstract
A new TLC–colorimetric method for the estimation of the individual, Digitalis cardio-active glycosides was established. The method was successfully applied for the estimation of the intact, concerned glycosides, separately, after eliminating their decomposition products in Digitalis purpurea L. and D. lanata Ehrh. leaves dried by different methods, as well as in various pharmaceutical preparations. The proposed method has proved to be precise and reproducible and the average deviation was + 1.67 per cent.
