Abstract
Male and female retarded readers at two age levels (6.5 to 8.5 vears and 10.5 to 12.5 years) did not differ significantly on a number of perceptual, visual-motor, linguistic, and concept-formation abilities. The absence of sex differences is contrary to (a) the results obtained with normal children and (b) expectations based on recent theoretical speculations regarding sex differences in cerebral organization and specialization at the ages under consideration.This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
