Abstract
Divorce Court work can be particularly difficult. The authors describe a family focused approach to custody and access reports which involves the active participation of the parents. Conciliation is fostered through increased contact between parents. Conjoint working provides colleague support and minimises the danger of taking on decisions and responsibilities which belong to the parents not the workers. Keywords
