Abstract
We try to develop an analysis of collision experiments according to the method of Wittgenstein. We show that the probability amplitude of a two-particle collision is the matrix element of a unitary operator . This derivation uses only the superposition principle and the probabilistic interpretation of quantum mechanics. It does not assume any microscopic notion of time nor the validity of the Schrödinger equation.
