Abstract
The case of Mr. S demonstrates that many aspects of medication misuse in the elderly are interrelated. It is clear from review of the case history that Mr. S has experienced significant physical, psychological, and economic consequences from a variety of drug-related sources, including his own self-medication practices, his non-compliance with prescribed therapy, and the polymedicine practiced by his physicians.
