Abstract
Too adapt hypnotic psychotherapy to the individual patient some kind of assessment of the patient''s hypnotizability is essential. The choice lies between clinical judgment of responsiveness and measurement. Although measurement is desirable, care has to be exercised in selecting the appropriate measurement instrument, because an efficient scale must be based on sound psychometric considerations and avoid the illusions inherent in clinical intuition. This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
