Abstract
SUMMARY: Recent collecting has revealed three new graptolite-rich localities in the Humevale Formation above the Rice’s Hill Sandstone Member. Each indicates a Přídolí age for this part of the Humevale Formation, and reinforces earlier work by the authors attributing these Baragwanathia - yielding strata to the uppermost Silurian series. Two of the new localities, at Ghin Ghin (locs. B4 and B1A), have numerous specimens of Monograptus cf. prognatus Koren’ and M aff. uniformis parangustidens Jackson & Lenz respectively, whilst the locality at Cheviot (T2) contains abundant M. cf. pridoliensis Přibyl. Forms in any way referable to the last two species have not yet been recorded from the Australian continent before. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
