Abstract
Superconducting thin films of the Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O system (2 and 10 kÅ) have been successfully prepared by multilayer deposition from elemental metal sources and annealed in N2/O2 mixtures. The onset of the superconducting transition is greater than 80 K with zero resistance at 74 K. The films contain primarily a Bi2(SrCaBi)3Cu2O8 + δ phase with a high degrees of (001) preferred orientation. Keywords
