Abstract
Total blood volume of rats may be detd. by washing out and measuring total red blood cells and comparing with the hematocrit of measured specimen of blood. From this and estimation of the concn. of protein in the blood, total plasma protein can be measured. In large rats the average value is 0.1079 gm. per 100 sq. cm. of body surface, and for small rats 0.0825. During fasting the total plasma protein decrease is directly proportional to time. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
