Abstract
5-Allyl-3,3,5-trimethyl-1-pyrroline 1-oxide(5)undergoes thermal Cope rearrangement to 5-allyl-2,4,4-trimethyl-1-pyrroline I-oxide(6)and further cyclization to 1,6,6-trimethyl-9-oxa-8-azatricyclo[3,2,l,l9,8]nonane (7).
