Abstract
The in vitro transformation of estrone to estradiol-17[alpha] was demonstrated in both male and female calves. Pure estrone, 2.0 mg, was injected into a male and a female calf and a 4.0 mg dose was given to another female calf. The net increase in urinary estrogens following the injections of estrone was 44 and 42% in calves receiving the 2.0 mg dose and 33% in the animal receiving the 4.0 mg dose. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
