Abstract
A method of estimating the parameters in the regression equation, [image], is given which substantially reduces the amount of computation required. The process makes use of special tables which are provided. Most growth curves (e.g., logistic, Gompertz) can be expressed in this form. The author shows that the method utilizes more information from the sample than do many other methods in common use. Two examples are worked through in detail.
