The Isolation of [35S]Homocystine from Neurospora

Abstract
Evidence is presented implying accumulation of [35S]homocysteine in methionine-less mutants of Neurospora crassa. Certain mutants formed five times as much homocystine as did the wild type; [35s]homocysteine was identified as homocystine and homocysteic acid.
