Abstract

Reaction of Bu^tCH(OMs)CC–CCH (Ms = SO₂Me) with Bu^tOK and tetramethylethylene or Et₃SiH, in 1,2-dimethoxyethane (glyme) at –62 °C, results in the respective carbene addition and insertion products.
