Abstract
Three types of polyacrylonitrile yarn were converted to graphite fibers. There was a linear relation between density and Young's modulus of the graphite fibers, the ranges observed being 1.58 to 2.18 grams per cubic centimeter and 25 to 112 x 106 pounds per square inch. Keywords
