Predicted frequency dependence of microstrip characteristic impedance using the planar-waveguide model

Abstract

Modifications to the equation defining the width of the planar-waveguide model for microstrip are proposed, and which predict a frequency-dependent characteristic impedance in better agreement with the results of dynamic theories of microstrip.
