Caries Incidence in Teeth with Tetracycline Incorporation

Abstract
A group of 51 children up to the age of 12 yr. who had tetracycline incorporation into the teeth were examined for caries experience. The caries incidence ftid not indicate any decrease from the normal, and there were 7 patients with severe caries. Ground sections of teeth from some of the patients, examined in UV light, showed that the caries process passed unhindered through the bands of tetracycline incorporation in the dentine.
