Abstract
Effects of erosion and fragmentation on the distribution of the masses of an ensemble of colliding particles are investigated. An equation for the instantaneous rate of change in the number of particles per unit mass range is formulated and solved numerically. Results for a variety of physical conditions are presented and compared with results obtained by other authors. Keywords
