Bilateral avulsion fracture of the triceps tendon insertion from skiing with osteogenesis imperfecta tarda

Abstract
Avulsion of the triceps tendon with fractures of the olecranon have been described in the literature. This injury is frequently misdiagnosed or over looked. Bilateral avulsions are extremely rare. A case of bilateral avulsions of the triceps tendon insertion caused by a skiing mishap was seen in a patient with osteogenesis imperfecta tarda.
