Tissue Storage Without Contaminants

Abstract
Gnotobiotic animals (mice) were grown, slaughtered, eviscerated, cleaned and packaged under several gaseous environments without bacterial contamination. Physical appearance and odor were maintained for several mo. in muscle tissue stored at 23[degree]C under vacuum and N. The deterioration was greater when the storage temperature was increased and when larger quantities of O2 were added to the atmosphere.[long dash]H. W. Ockerman.
